Listening Report - A. Why Doctor May not always try to save a fingertip

1.      Which injuries should always be treated by a doctor?
      Injuries that damage a "deep structure" like a bone, tendon or nerve should always be treated by a doctor.


2.    What do you think “it’s a different ballgame” means?




3.    What are signs of a deep cut?
      Forceful bleeding and bright red blood are dangerous signs of a deep cut.


4. What is Gelfoam?    
     Gelfoam is a medical product that can help stop the bleeding.




5. 
What should you do if your fingertip is cut off?
      If is's a deep cut, I should go to the doctor. / If the bleeding stops when you press on it for a few minutes, then I probably do not need a doctor.


6.  Dr. Brown says fingertips are not often   ___reattached___  if they are the length of a fingernail or shorter.


7.  How is a fingertip reattached?
     Reattachment is a real commitment by the patient and the doctor. Amputation is a simple thing.

8. What does a patient have to do to regain use of their finger?
     Patients must also be willing to undergo a rehabilitation process to regain use of the finger.

My Semester Holiday

     I was bored at first week. Just sleep, sleep and sleep! I impatiently waited  my final  scores. Almost I checked my KU account on everyday. When I learned my scores, I was shocked. All my points were very good. My average score is 3.40 out of 4 :) My holiday was wonderful after that day.

     My high school friends called me. I met with many of my friends are on vacation. I missed so them. I wish I could go to the old days. Everyone was honest and compassionate. I missed Demet the most. So, I stayed her home a few days. Demet prepared a mushroom cookies for me. I love her amazing! <3

     
     I went to Eskişehir at last week. I visited my grandmother, my aunt and cousin. I did shopping together them. Then I saw my old boy friend and felt bad. I remembered  our memories. He was the wrong man for me. I have so regret. So, I haven't wanted anyone in my life for 2 years. Inspite of everything, holiday was good for me. I have to smile..*
